Race Director/Manager
This race will be managed by the Las Vegas Running Company. The Las Vegas Running Company has been producing and managing first-tier roadraces for 27 years at distances from 1-mile to 100 miles. Each year we plan, coordinate and stage 20-25 races in Las Vegas for charities, conventions and the Las Vegas Track Club. Tim Kelly, the founder of the Las Vegas Running Company, is 3-time president of the Gulf Winds Track Club in Tallahassee, FL, and 5-time president of the Las Vegas Track Club. Over the last 27 years Tim has directed, or assisted in, over 300 high-quality roadraces in Florida, Colorado, California, Utah and Nevada.

Get ready for a memorable running event Las Vegas! The inaugural Las Vegas National Veterans Day Run will begin and end at Kellogg Zaher park in Summerlin. The race will offer two distances, 11k and a 1-mile healthy walk. We expect a large turnout of veterans and active-duty military to this race, so come on out and support the men and women of our armed forces.

Race Details
This race will feature an 11k and 1-mile healthy walk. The 1-mile walk will start immediately following the start of the 11k. The 11k will be professionally timed, using state-of-the-art Chronotrak timing systems. All runners/walkers will receive the following:
* Pre-race ceremony honoring Veterans
* Cotton finisher's t-shirt
* Mailed Registration packets (and timing tags for 11k)
* 1" commemoritive collector's pin (shown right)
* Finisher's Certificate
* Finish-line refreshments
Race Packets and Timing Chips
Race packets and timing chips were mailed the weekend before the race via US Mail and should arrive a couple days before race. Please make sure you register with a valid mailing address during the registration process. For those registering the week of the race, your packets will be available on race day evening at the Solutions tent. Should you not receive your bib before race day, please visit the Solutions tent the evening of the race. The 11k timed race will be professionally timed using state-of-the-art Chronotrak timing systems. This race will use disposable bib tags, which will be affixed to the back of your race bib. Instructions will be included with the race packet.

VIP Registration

Given the unique nature of this race and the unique date of 11-11-11, we are offering VIP registration. VIP registration can be added to any registration and includes the following: A 3-inch tall 11-11-11 finisher's medal with 1" wide black and white National Veterans Day Run ribbon and VIP post-race area. The VIP post-race area will feature dedicated port-a-potty(ies), special food (pizza & soda for evening runs, donuts and coffee for morning runs) and changing tents. You will be given the opportunity to upgrade during the online registration process.

Veterans and Active Duty Military
As a way of saying thank you for your service to our Country, Veterans and all active-duty military personnel will receive an $11 entry into the 11k timed run or 1-mile walk. Please choose the Veterans or Active-duty military option during registration and enter your branch and dates of service for the discount.
